I registered a web page from Geocities.com back in 1998 and the main purpose was to save some files in the Internet so that I could access them anywhere. After years, this page still works. I feel it is worth to add more stuff into it.

I am an Oracle certified database administrator (DBA), working in a manufacturing site of an aerospace company in Arizona. My daily activities include database administration in supporting JD Edwards, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool and a mission-critical system used by Manufacturing, Sales and Finance, and technical support for other subsystems around JD Edwards. Besides, I design database for application development and use Oracle Workflow and PL/SQL to automate some operation processes and to generate real-time reports. So, during my work, most time I work at the back-end as a DBA and in my spare time I am a developer. Since I am the only DBA in the site, every day I face new challenge, learn new technique and make new progress. I enjoy what I am doing very much.

Database adminstration is a comprehensive and challenging job. It relats to and involves system administration, network administration and infrastructure architecture. I was on different jobs before I am entitled Senior Oracle DBA. Most recently, I worked for Motorola, one of the biggest companies in the world, as a Staff Engineer on the development of Oracle applications on UINX platform, and worked for STMicroelectronics, one of the ten largest semiconductor companies in the world, as an IT Software Engineer on DSS (Decision Support System) and data warehouse support.

My analystic skills and logic thinking give me good foundations in handling the challenge and getting growth. I was a Mathematics Lecturer at Northwestern Polytechnical University in China for several years and won a Scientific Prograss award from the Education Committee of Shaanxt Province of China for research work supported by the Aviation fund of China and Natural Science Fund of Shaanxi Province. My first full-time job in the USA was a Capacity Analyst for Deluxe Corporation. During my second year of studying at Arizona State University, I luckily got an Internship from TRW as a Statistician.
