Independent researcher: particularly
interested in questions relative to the nuragic
civilization and the Sardinian
and western megalithism,
presently studying existing correlation between some menhir complexes and the paleo-astronomy
through the utilization of informatic procedures which I have expressly set up.
Governing analyst instructor in the Data
Processing Center of Sardinia's Regional Authority Board;
Honorary Inspector of Archeology for the
Archeological Authority of the provinces of Cagliari and Oristano, for the
Boroughs of Muravera and Villaputzu, situated on the south-east
coast of Sardinia;
School Leaving Certificate in the Arts;
Diploma as Archeological Guide ;
Complesso megalitico di Cuili Piras: i menhir
che costituiscono il Cromlech, oggetto di studi mediante l' utilizzo di procedure
informatiche;
Complesso megalitico di Cuili Piras
(Muravera-CA): allineamenti di menhirs nell'area centrale del Cromlech.
ACTIVITIES:
I carried
out the census of the existing archeological muments in the Boroughs of
Castiadas, Muravera and Villaputzu, which are made up of hundreds of monuments
(protonuraghi, pseudonuraghi, nuraghi, nuragic forts, hypogean and
'passage-way' tombs, a few (21) menhir
complexes consisting of dozens of elements fixed in the ground in the
original orthoptic positions in particular, in the locality of Cuili Piras and Nuraghe Scalas in the Muravera territory, I recently
discovered two menhir complexes (the first composed of 46 elements and the
second of 42 elements), positioned in such a way as to form Cromlechs (prehistoris circie of
upright stones) similar to the II Phase
of Stonehenge.
Complesso megalitico di Stonehenge (GB) : gli
aggregati di menhir visibili in primo piano sono simili a quelli esistenti,
ancora nella posizione ortostatica originale, negli impianti megalitici di
Cuili Piras e nuraghe Scalas.
Complesso Megalitico di N.ghe Scalas: Menhirs
nell'area centrale dell'impianto.
Complesso megalitico Nuraghe Scalas: Menhir
nell' area Sud.
The
structural survey was carried out and the azimuths originated by the alignment
were calculated and this data, stored in a Data Base File and correlated with
another DBF containing all the azimuths achieved by the rising and the setting
of the Sun and of the Moon calculated for the area by the Astronomer Angelo Poma, the Director
of the Astronomical Observatory
at Poggio dei Pini in Capoterra, Cagliari.
The results were astonishing: all the
astronomically significant elements of the Solar Calendar are perfectly identified
and, simultaneously it is possible to correlate the lunations.
Complesso megalitico di Nuraghe Scalas: menhirs
nel settore Est.
Therefore,
it can be supposed that these megalithic complexes function as astronomical
instruments in order to constitute a primitive but precise calendar and to
presumably forecast eclipses of the Sun
and of the Moon, similar to Stonehenge.
With the
purpose of evaluating the accuracy of my conjectures regarding these megalithic
complexes, I would like to correspond and exchange information, photographs,
slides, planimetries and computer applied procedures to use on P.C. with other
researchers in this field i'm sure Is carrying out similar studies to mine.

megalitico di Nuraghe Scalas: l'area centrale vista da Ovest, nel rilievo
visibile sulla sinistra é impiantato il protonuraghe toponimo dell'area.
