Lemme tell you about the dumb thing I did. In my haste to escape, I forgot one of my bags behind... a fairly essential bag you'll discover, as my story unfolds. The essential bag, one might say. You see, the bag I left behind, oh best beloved, was the one that contains my computer stuff. Namely, the power cables, the mouse (trackball, actually), and the adapter for my keyboard. I probably could have scrounged all this stuff up between today and yesterday, but why should I have to, when my family lives a mear-schmere 30 minutes away as the truck flies. I was able to sweet-talk my brother into bringing me my stuff and single-handedly allowing me to present you with this sparkling update. Huzzah!
I am also, as we speak... so to speak, unwrapping SimCity 4. As well as attempting to avoid coughing my trachea up, but thats a different matter altogether. Being sick is an unhappy state of affairs, to say the least. On the positive side, I have Crossroads of Twilight to get me through the long, dark times (tea-times? of the soul, perhaps?). Anyway, I have wandered afield. SimCity 4 looks like it should takes lots of time to fully explore, no doubt to detriment of my already academically challenged self. Tragic.
The car (el rojo minivano) has been declared beyond recall. It is with much sorrow and a heavy heart that my parents accepted the money that the insurance company gave us for it (especially considering my dad was planning on selling it anyway, and we probably would not have gotten anywhere near as much). However, I do want my damn clothes! Not to mention the candy and stuff... the chips are pretty much a write off, because the bag was open when we crashed and probably has broken glass in it.
Now, I'm hunting for the things that will allow me to extract the fun within the tuna-fish can that is SimCity 4. Grrr.... But I will persevere! *grin*
I'm going to have to go outside again tomorrow, aren't I? Rats... Classes start on Wednesday, how yucky.
Well, Mr. Mundo has provided the Committee with the key necessary to unlock the fun! So, I'm off to terrorize the urban planners of the world! :)
