LAN = fun. GeForce 3 dying at LAN = not fricking cool. Having onboard GF2, allowing me to still participate, even though my Video card died = the flying shiznit. So we played approximately eight hours of Battlefield 1942 on Saturday, before we went back to Gabe's house and played some AvP2 and Warcraft 3, plus a little CS until approximately 5 in the morning. Pop'n Fresh 3 was a success, in that we got enough people to pay the rent for the room. Kyle came out, got to see Matt from TheBadLANs in RI, along with his nephew. It was a lot of fun. Now I have to see if I can get my GF3 replaced.

Sunday, I drove to Bristol, RI to visit Valerie. We had lots of fun, I got to see her hometown and the coffee shop she spend most of high-school at. Her dorm room is way bigger than mine. And its carpeted. On the other hand, her network connection goes away at random times and Roger William's IT dept is not the most cooperative. Maybe the big PK should go see if he can help them out (PK is Paul Kobulnicky, the former Vice-Chancellor for Information Technology here at Uconn. He resigned a couple months ago, because apparently *gasp* surprise! our ITS dept is one of the worst organized Mr. Random Consultant had ever seen). Good thing: seeing Val again and getting to be with her. Odd thing: seeing somewhere around 8 or 9 police cruisers in one day of travelling. Most of them were Rhode Island state cars, but when I was almost home, waiting for the light in front Backus, I saw a City of Norwich cruiser waiting at the other light. Saw two or three people pulled over, plus the car (cop car, obviously) that was at the gas station I stopped at for coke (yay caffeine). Weird thing: Not being hungry all day, despite having last eaten at approximately 1:00 sunday morning.

Today (Monday), I was at home. So I slept most of the day, catching up for at least this weekend. Plus I managed to avoid the housework that my mom wanted to ask me to do. I helped Christen with her paper for a little bit, but it was kind of frustrating, because she wants help on everything, and I don't want to write it for her, or have her become dependent on someone else (me or mom) being there to help her. It was frustrating for both of us, cause she got really worried about being able to handle the honors civics class that she is in. I also got some pants from home. Because it is downright flrking cold now. Grrrr.

Now I have to wait to do laundry until tomorrow, because none of the places with the machines to put money on my card are open. Finished this round of the badness and the hurting and the pain (mid-terms). Should be getting them back this week. Hopefully I did well, cause I gotta drag my GPA outta the gutter. And Tyr ate all of my cupcakes on Saturday. I should have brought them with me to the LAN party. Yay, I get paid this week, and I've already sent in my loan check for this month, which means I can pay back my brother some more and still have some left. Ben Folds concert coming up next Saturday. Christen's confirmation is Sunday (she is far too old for her age!).

The astute observers among you may have noticed the fact that I have regressed to black text and a white background for the past several updates. It is because I am lazy, and finding an infinite fish background and keying the text colours takes more time than just typing up this gibberish. Even finding a good text / solid background colour that won't kill people viewing it takes long enough to cause my lazy self to not want to do it. I am open to someone sending some sort of HTML style template, but I don't know if any of the members of my vast, vast audience have the skills or the inclination. *shrug* So we all learn to love black and white. And occasional varied text colours when I'm feeling ambitious. Like now! :)
