So, my attempts to teach myself to use a Dvorak-style keyboard layout have faltered and diminished to a point where they may as well not exist. Which is too bad. Maybe some other time, like over christmas break or something. I need to be able to devote a set amount of time consistently to it, otherwise I will never get anywhere. Kind of like how I learned to type the first time.
LANned over the weekend, it was fun. Played some Battlefield 1942, Serious Sam 2 co-op ("lag!" "lagggg..." "Hey, is anyone else getting any lag?"). Played AvP2, which isn't as much fun with so many people. I think its better with only four or five... The aliens kick the humans' butts so quickly. Also saw Con-Air for the first time. Nic Cage with a soutern accent is almost as funny as Nic Cage in Moonstruck. He continued his streak by getting the crap kicked out of him. So far he has only made it through City of Angels unscathed. Now I want to watch Leaving Las Vegas, but cannot find it on the network. *shrug* maybe I will do the netflix free trial.. hmm.. maybe in Jan, when I'll have free time to watch em. Good idea.
Hannah thinks Tyr and I should have a radio show, she thinks we would be worth listening to because we're funny. I don't know, I think the burden to consistently be amusing would probably spoil a lot of it. It would take enough effort to move out of the realm of "things we say because we think we're clever" to the realm of "work". And we all know that work is yucky and to be procrastinated as much as possible. However, it is possible that our conversations could be immortalized and shared so that everyone can partake in the twisted, weirdness that is us. Typing up one of our convesations would still take a lot of effort, though... hmm... well, it's something to think about, anyway. If we come up with something funny enough to be worth it, you'll be the first to know.
So far the CD sounds good. The intro to this song kinda reminds me of Stairway to Heaven. Which reminds me of the scene in Wayne's World when Wayne is in the guitar shop and starts to play Stairway and the salesman stops him and points to the sign on the wall that says "No Stairway allowed." Yeah. Anyway, CD ist gud. Will have to listen to it when I'm not concentrating on typing and checking my laundry. Speaking of which-
Twenty minutes until the first load is dry. Remind me to check on it at 7:50. Val thinks I should come up with an online quiz sort of thing. At this point, laziness prevents it, however. I have trouble thinking up something creative for the link from the index page, let alone ~10 multiple choice questions.
Stayed tuned for next week's feature, in which we italicize words at random. It should be interesting. *grin*
Aha! Ben has just pointed out that by throwing himself off a building in City of Angels, Nic Cage technically beats himself up. And thus, he has an unbroken string of getting the shit kicked out of him in each movie.
