most news sites are down, because of the amount of people trying to access them. slashdot hit the comment limit, but they do have many articles copy/pasted. Slashdot Coverage: you can see some blurbs and speculation there.

so far this is what I, personally, know or have been told.
two planes crashed into the two towers of the world trade center 18 minutes apart. the second one was caught on tape. No one knows if they were hijacked, and if so, if there were passengers on the planes. the two towers collapsed about an hour later. A plane has crashed into the pentagon in washington. another crashed south of pittsburg. All non-essential state personnel in Massachusetts has been sent home, and all high-rise buildings in Boston are being evacuated. Airports are being shut down across the US. People on the east coast are being asked not to use their cell-phones.

11:13 apparently, a plane just crashed into camp david.

Heard from a friend that there was a bomb in a NYC school, and they were trying to blow up the Lincoln Tunnel.

correction and clarification: I dont know if there was a plane crash in san fransisco or if a plane bound for san fransisco crashed (in one of the other incidents). All I know is that the words "plane", "crash", and "San Fransisco" were involved in conjunction.
