Gamer's Guild is going well, so far we are getting consistent groups of 8 or more on Sundays (keeping in mind that it has only been a couple weeks). Plus everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, which bodes well for continued attendance as the semester wears on. Narrowly averted disaster today by showing up ten minutes after it was supposed to start. Tyr was wroth, because I'm the one with the locker key, and Gamer's Guild would be pretty boring if we couldn't get at all the games. Although he had brought set and Icehouse, so I'm sure he could have arranged something. We played lots of Bar-Talk, an amusing game where the winner gets to make up a new rule, which is added to the old ones, making it more and more complicated as more games are played.

I was late because I was taking a nap after church, cause I stayed up late reading an old fantasy anthology edited by Robert Asprin (who remembers Robert Asprin? the Myth books? hmmm....), called Tales from the Vulgar Unicorn. It is actually one in a series of anthologies set in the city of Sanctuary, and all sorts of weird and/or bad stuff happens. Good series... I have the next one around somewhere at home, will have to look some time. I am, however, considering re-reading American Gods again. Oooh, I think I will do that after I finish this update-

Just kidding, not taking off right now. *grin* War of Honor, by David Weber comes out in October (supposedly the beginning, but I'll believe that when I see it.) I have already ordered my copy :). $26 for hard-cover. Damn, I'm a sucker. At least I should have money by then (hint, hint, state of connecticut). Crossroads of Twilight, by Robert Jordan (Book 10 of the Wheel of Time) comes out in mid-November. I'm also looking forward to that. *grin* Am I addicted or what?

It turns out that I can get KMX (an energy drink) using my meal plan at Jonathan's (a restaurant here at Uconn run by Dining Services). I like this, cause I like energy drinks. I mean, I'd prefer Bawls, but it costs real money and I'm kinda short right now. So I get KMX. The thing is KMX tastes really nasty. So, I've started mixing it with red Powerade. So far its working pretty well. The only problem I'm having is the one time I drank more than one I got a really bad headache in the back of my head after a little while. However, one data point does not a statistic make. Therefore, in the spirit of research off to the fridge! :) Well, I suppose I do want to go to bed tonight, so I'm not gonna drink one right now. The other cool thing is that since Powerade is a hydration sports drink, it helps balance the caffeine's diuretic effect.

Well, I have to figure out my fetters for my Wraith character now, otherwise Tyr will have them be things like delicate crystal in the San Andreas fault, or an ice sculpture at a wedding in Tuscon or something. That is all.
