Programmer/Analyst
I currently program in Visual Basic (vers. 4-7) and Microsoft
Access (Office '95 & '97) for MobileTech
Solutions, a company that sells handheld computers
(not PDAs) to the distribution industry (beverage, dairy, bakery,
beer) to track delivery, sales, and inventory data. I also have
experience in C, C++, COBOL, BASIC, and a thorough knowledge of
MS DOS (Vers. 2.0 to present), Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0,
Novell (thru vers. 5.x), Microsoft Office Professional, MS
Exchange 5.0, PC Anywhere (vers. 3.5 to 9.0), and a some HTML and
JAVA.
Key responsibilities
I primarily focus on the PC interfaces with the clients'
accounting systems to import their Customer, Product, and Price
information into our system to load to the handhelds, and then
export the sales data back to their accounting systems. I format
the data to match their system requirements (SAP, AccPac, Peach
Tree, AS400, IBM System 36). I also develop and maintain user
interface screens (GUI) for the clients to use in maintaining the
data on our system. I am also responsible for maintaining the
tape backups of our network and workstations, and
