1894 Built for William Arthur West. Named after town of Portarlington, east of Geelong, Victoria
1922 William Arthur West dies.
1923 Emilie and Arnold move to Heathpool
Reg West and family lived at Arlington
1928 Emilie and Arnold moved back into Arlington
1933 Emilie died
1934 Arnold and Dorrie married and lived at Arlington
1949 Arnold died
Ruth returned to Arlington and lived in the front 3 rooms that had been converted into a flat.
The main bedroom was converted to a kitchen/utility room and a small shower area and toilet added to the side of the house.
1984 Ruth moved to "Helping Hand" in North Adelaide
1985 Arlington bought by George and Zoe Waring and renovated
Zoe is a Grand daughter of William Arthur West
c1990- Peter Waring lived at Arlington
