Pierre Milot's Soo Line

The photographs in this page are all of models painted and detailed by Pierre Milot of Montréal, Canada.

Most of the pictures were taken on the layout of Montreal Model Railroaders Association in Montreal, Canada.

Although I try to make my Soo Line believable, I do not attempt to count rivets or reproduce prototypes. If it looks good and has "some" Soo Line semblance, that's good enough for me. As a rule I don't stress myself with 100% prototype modeling.
I model the fifties and sixties which allows me to run both late steam and early diesels up to the SD40. As a cut off date,  I have excluded cars without roof walks. I still hide a 12 car modern train however.
I have two Soo Line 'imitation' steam . Check the project link below.  Currently, all steam operations on my layout is still CPR.

As of this writing a new home layout is in the incubator. It will be 'L' shaped 6.5 x 18 feet For the long section adjoining another room 11 x 13 feet. I will post developments as it progresses. Construction should start during the Summer 2009.
