So,You have decided to have the Tamil Font,haven't
you?Fine.But,before installing it, You should download it first.It would be
taking just 80 seconds,don't worry. (If you go to Browsing
Centres, just download or copy or save the Font in a Floppy and installit in the Computer with which You are going to browse.It won't take even 40 seconds to
do it.). Click the DOWNLOAD Button below to do it.
Then,Save it in whichever Drive and directory You want
to.
Or even better,just right click it and select the "save link as.." option.
Done? Now,click the Start Button in the computer Desktop:
Go to Settings
From there, Go to Control panel. You will get a window.
In that Window,double-click "Fonts". You will get another Window.In the new
Window, click the File in the top menubar.Select the "Install new Font" item;
Getting another Window? Then upto now, You have a good progress in the
installation process.
In the recent window,select the Drive(where you saved the Font) from the
Checklist which will be in the middle of the Window.
Then , to the left side of that, You will see some directories,if there are
some.Select the directory(if you have saved the Font in some directory) where
you have saved it.
Then, above there, you will be seeing another TextArea,with the heading,"list
of Fonts".There, You can see the item "Amutham(True Type)".Just double click
it.
Done? Congradulations,
then.
You have made this computer ready to view Tamil Web Sites(atleast,
some of them).
And, one more thing.......there is another easier way also....Just copy the Amudham.ttf file from your flopy, and past it in the Fonts directory.....it will be in the c:\, windows directory, fonts directory (c:\windows\fonts\)...Just paste it there. That is enough.
