HTML Character Codes
In this lesson you will learn
HTML Character Codes. These characters are placed to make certain symbols. There are many of them, but we will show you the most used
in basic HTML. Below is a list of the basic ones, and what they are used for.

" | Quotation Mark | " |
& | Ampersand | & |

® | Registered Sign | ® |
¶ | Paragraph Sign | ¶ |
¢ | Cent Sign | ¢ |
² | Superscript 2 | ² |
³ | Superscript 3 | ³ |
¼ | Fraction One-Fourth | ¼ |
½ | Fraction One-Half | ½ |
¾ | Fraction Three-Fourths | ¾ |
£ | Pound Sign | £ |
There are quite a few of these characters that
can and are used in web page design, but these are the ones you will find most useful. Any HTML reference book will have the Character Codes listed in them, if you
would like to see more of them.
