Interview

El primer paso, en el entrenamiento para la entrevista, es contestar de antemano una serie de preguntas, para que logre una presentacion bastante fluida y consistente.

Estas son las preguntas mas frecuentes que se hacen en la entrevista.

La tarea es, que usted lo pueda "recitar" con fluidez.en INGLES.


Preguntas Generales:

  3. Why do think you are the employee we need ?

  4. Where do you see yourself in five years ?

  5. What are your personal goals

  6. What are your professional goals

  7. What are your strengths and weaknesses ?

  10. Actions on disasters: What actions did you take ?

Preguntas Especificas:

Windows NT:

  1. how big was the windows NT network you managed,
  2. were you involved in networking,
  3. hardware changes ?
  4. what types of user profiles did you created,
  5. what task were automated ?
  6. there was management tools like SNMP in place ?

DataBases:

  1. what functions did you performed while you were database manager,
  2. how big were the databases,
  3. how many applications were accessing the databases,
  4. did you installed the database ?
  5. which version did you adminstrated ?

Operating System :

  1. how many applications on it,
  2. how many users,
  3. hardware installations
  4. networking
  5. how was the backup mechanism

Project Management

  1. how much was the budget you were in charge ?
  2. how many people did you have,
  3. did you hire some one ?
  4. did you use management tools ?
  5. did you manage several projects at the same time ? ( how many )
  6. how did you prioritized, allocated resources and assined tasks ?
  7. how did you keep track of progres ?
  8. how did you give feedback to your people?
  9. did you have delays, how did you face them ?
  10. how do you coordinate people,
  11. how do you motivate your people ?
  12. how do you do the performance review of your people ?

Adviser:

  1. which particular issued did you addressed ?
  2. what were the suggestions you did?
  3. how many "cases" did you worked on ?
  4. were the suggestions implemented ?
  5. tell me about your accomplishments...

Development:

supporting module.. you mean ,not develoment ? or you mean development and support ? or probably develpment, maintenance but not support or developement, maintenacen and support ?anyways,

  1. how big was the group ?  (  we were about 40 weren't we ? )
  2. what functionalities did you developed/maintened
  3. could you give me more details on this module/system? and your contributions?

Administrative:

  1. how did your manager do your performance review ?
  2. any awards ?

Salario

-Money is not my most important consideration. ( at this point, just starting the interview... )

-I would be happy in the range. Range: low to middle forties, middle to high fifties, etc.

  • How long will it take to reach a decision ?

Preguntas que debe responder la persona de referencia: ( aplicant is her )

  1. When did [applicant] work with you?
  2. Please describe the project that she worked on and her responsibilities.
  3. What kind or worker was she?
  4. How did she perform the requirements of the job? (Was her work bad, average, good or above average). Please explain why you say this.
  5. Did she work well on her own?
  6. Did she work well as a team member?
  7. How well did she work with the final users?
  8. Did she take off many sick days, or was she frequently late for work?
  9. Did she meet the project deadlines?
  10. If you were hiring a programmer analyst would you hire her? Please describe why or why not.
  11. Please include any other comments that you think would help me in evaluating her. Any examples that help answer the above questions would be appreciated.
