I attended school in Jamshedpur, the Steel City of India, and drifted to New Delhi to pursue "higher" studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi ,India.
After four long years and some 20% attendance in college, I received my Bachelors degree in Computer Science & Engg. (B.Tech.) in 1991. Armed with this degree, I looked for a "suitable" job and landed myself in Tata Consultancy Services. After some months there, I got an good offer from a MNC and decided it was time to leave. I joined Hughes Software Systems, New Delhi in '92 and worked till '95.
Having spent 3 good years with Hughes, I quit to give my career a "boost" and joined Novell at their India Development Centre in Bangalore. In 1998, moved to the US and joined a startup company which was acquired by Cisco Systems.
Subarna (my wife) and I have a baby girl Rhea. Here are some family photographs.
