Job Description
Diagnostics troubleshooting workstation migration and application problems using inter-operating protocol such as Novell IPX client, NetBEUI, IPX/SPX compatible, and Microsoft TCP/IP.
Assist site-networking manager with installing and configuring infrastructure switch LAN expansion FDDI equipment.
Implementing SMS and SNMP agents for workstation upgrades and troubleshooting help desk applications.
Assist service center with main frame configuration issues during migration from Novell NetWare to Microsoft Windows NT on Compaq Proliant servers.
Administrative WAN performance and failures, monitoring for network connectivity problems using HP diagnostic hardware/software and MAC address 'sniffers' workstations.
Performed routine NDS clean up/data recovery/disk space allocation on NetWare servers, using VREPAIR and DSREPAIR utilities..
Assist other Network Engineers with static TCP/IP assignments for HP direct shared resource laser printers during ROM hardware upgrades.
Diagnostic troubleshooting on user's workstation TCP/IP access and remote configuration problems during main frame accessing, which used RUMBA software.
Analyzing ABEND messages and print server failures by shutting down / restarting of network resources in computer room environment.
