The Classic Adventures

Welcome to my Classic Adventures Page. Here, you can find the grandparents of all the great adventures. This page is featuring Leisure Suit Larry 1, Monkey Island 1, and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

Leisure Suit Larry 1

Leisure Suit Larry is, without any doubt, the most classic adventure game. I still remember how I was jealous about seven years ago(wow, that's an old game!), that my friend had this game on his old PC 286, and I couldn't play it, because I had "just" a Snclair ZX Spectrum. However, I got this game right after I got my first PC. And sometimes I'm still playing it (it works also on Pentium...). This game was so successful mostly because of its humor (I was really delighted to find the same kind of humor also in the newest Larry), and because it was first. The two main disadvantages of this game are, that it's pretty straight forward, and the interface is really not user-friendly (but it was the best one, seven years ago). Here are some pictures, and (of course) the complete solution.

The complete solution

Monkey Island 1

Monkey Island 1 is another great adventure (although most people remember just the second part) with a lot of jokes. Remember, that the proper way to kill LeChuck is to pour beer on him? :-) This adventure has a much better (I think the best) interface than Larry. Instead to write everything, you just click on the right word or item. The main problem with this game is that it's except one spot (the totem nose) too easy.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

For me this is the best adventure ever made! It's very huge. You can play (and win) this adventure three different ways. I've tried all of them, and it works! :-) The interface is the same than in Monkey Island (thank godness!), and also the graphics are simmilar. It's also much harder than Monkey Island. This was one of the first games where an anti-copying password was used. It was also fun to use the password! I'm really thankful to Lucasarts for this game...
