Regular Moves
Kinetic Card
+
P (can be done in air)
Gambit pulls out some cards and charges them with kinetic energy, which he
then throws at the opponent. This fireball is unique, because, unlike the other
characetrs' ones, this one is "invisible". You don't really see the
fireball itself, all you see is the impact against the opponent. Very useful for
people who keep on throwing fireballs, superjump quickly and nail 'em with the jab version
of this move. All other versions are too slow. In the air, travels at a 45
degree angle.Trick Card
+ P
Gambit's tosses several cards at a 45 degree angle up.
This is his anti-air move. I personally don't think it is very useful because
it takes too long to come out. If you are in a situation where you can use it, ONLY
use jab. Anything else is too slow. Also, try his standing roundhouse for good
anti-air.
Cajun Slash
+ P
Gambit attacks with his staff. The jab version of
this move comes out really fast and is an excellent countering tool. Use it often,
especially for picking. Ths strong version should be used after knocking down an
opponent(as it OTG's well), that is, if you want to spare your opponent from a Royal Flush
(hehe), or you don't have the super bar charged yet. The fierce version should be
used for combos, as it is a 3 hit move and comes out quickly as well.
Cajun Strike
(charge for 2 seconds), // + P, P or K to
attack.
Gambit leaps to the left or right wall (if you press up,
the one closer to you) and then comes down with a bo or kick attack depending on whether
you pushed punch or kick. This is very similar to Vega's move in the original SF2.
Use it in moderation, as it can be seen coming from a mile away and countered with
an anti-air move. However, it can confuse those fireball throwers, so be alert.
Cajun Escape
(charge for 2 seconds), // + K
Gambit leaps to the left or right wall (if you press up, the one closer to
you). You can then press in the direction of the opposite wall to over to that side
and then to the ground.
Super Moves
Royal Flush
+ PP
Gambit tosses his staff upwards while throwing a whole deck
of charged cards at the opponent. Just as with the regular kinetic cards, you do not
see the paths the cards follow, only the impact. This is a very useful super because
it takes off a lot of damage, but make sure you hit the opponent when he is on the ground
and not in the air. Otherwise, you will only get a few hits. Sweep your
opponent and OTG him with this, and prepare your victory pose!
Cajun Explosion
+ PP (to go to right of screen),
+ PP (to go to left of screen)
Gambit has got and a new super and BOY DOES IT ROCK!
He jumps up to the wall (depending on which motion you used) and sends several HUGE
charged cards toward the enemy's way! Really great super and confusing sometimes,
since people tend to block the wrong way. This super has good recovery time but not
good block damage, so use it when you know you will hit.
