Issue:
Users using 16-bit DAC noticed that Ic(H) measurement goes much
slower than on 12-bit cards.
Fix:
The origin of the problem is that 1 bit (or 1 division) for 16-bit
DAC is 16 times (216/212) smaller that for
12-bit DAC. As a result to reach critical current with 16-bit DAC it
takes 16 times as many steps as with 12-bit DAC providing that the
settings in Ic(H) setup window are the same.
To accelerate the
measurements, increase the following settings in Ic(H) setup window: Step
while go forward, step while jump backward, step while
searching V=0 as much as 16 times. In this case the speed and
accuracy will be equal to 12-bit DAC. Taking smaller values of Step
while go forward will increase accuracy but will slow down the
process. Choose the values which are optimal for you. In the furute I
will change Ic(H) measurement algorithm so that it will adaptively
choose the steps.
Read also the history, since the bugs which are already fixed but the corresponding version of GoldExI is not released yet are listed there.

I will try to fix it in one of the next versions. This does not mean that I will fix all of them but I will do my best. It depends how busy I am, and how imporant the bug is.
And please, feel free to
report bugs or ambigious/unexpected behavior.
Thanx!
