Abdelaziz That's me!

Welcome to my world! My name is Abdelaziz, I am 27, male and I live in Casablanca, in Morocco.
Abdelaziz is a Muslim name. In Arabic, 'abd' means a devotee or a servant, and 'Al Aziz' is one of the 99 known names of Allah (God) and is the Arabic word for "Exalted in Power" speaking of Allah; my first name is in fact 'Abd Al Aziz' but is written in French as 'Abdelaziz' and thus it means "The devotee of The Exalted in Power". However you won't find all of those 99 names of Allah in male Muslim forenames, but many of them are used by adding them to the word 'abd'.

I'm a "state engineer" (July 3 98) in Instrumentation, Electronics and Maintenance from the "Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Electricité et de Mécanique" (ENSEM), in Casablanca. For those who know Casablanca, I've studied in Ibn Habbous middle school and Moulay Idriss I secondary school and chosen there the "Sciences Mathématiques" section. After my A-level in 1993, I got the "Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles" and did them in Mohamed V high school. Two years later, I was ranked 57 in the competitive examination for the Moroccan "Grandes Ecoles d'Ingénieurs" after the oral tests and I got my entry to the ENSEM.

My first job was with Ubi Soft Entertainment Morocco, a subsidiary of the French game and multimedia developer. I began in Casablanca studios in April 1999 as a game developer and a R&D engineer: my main task was creating algorithms around the Nintendo64 core then I worked in a 3D engine creation team. After just 7 months, I was recruited in the IS team; during 2 years, I was responsible for providing Workgroup and GroupWare services to production teams and management. My most important task was assuring the development of an exhaustive collaborative planning solution, the complete development and implementation plus tests and adaptation took more than a year.

Since April 2002, I work with Hightech Payment Systems as an account manager.

I'm deeply ADDICTED to all parts of computer science and hi-tech, notably programming in visual languages (Visual Basic and Delphi) and creating HLP and HTML files. In fact there was a "Visual Basic" page in the first versions of "Abdelaziz's homesite" but I finally admitted it's very hard to teach such a language via the web, especially people who already have VB have indeed a complete and very useful on-line help - that I used to learn VB myself :-). That page was, in fine, just an introduction to visual languages and I was not able to put a bit of a line of a VB project code in it, even though my mind was full of examples and pedagogy - as I've been used to helping people to take the first step to VB since its third version!
I also like music and cinema, as you certainly do, and also French literature. I'm now writing my first story in French, titled "Tous les printemps ne se ressemblent pas", and I've got a deep feeling you'll love it if you are a French literature reader (I'm not speaking of love stories and detective novels or thrillers of course). Besides, I lately began to read and see a lot in American or British English. Apart from the fact I love Tom Clancy's stories for one, I reached the point where I nearly hate French-dubbed American or British movies or TV programs.

Actually, I've created this site in April 1998 and I can't describe how much it has changed since. As it was my first hosted site, I just tried to have my own place in the web... So I put some things that weren't my biggest interests, which I didn't present in my site. But now I know what I want to show to you, visitors: I show you my interests and try to help you the way that I can, that is. So if you have any question, any problem, just e-mail me and I'll answer when possible.

People who know me and my friends say I am (very) nice, friendly and obliging. However I find I've got more than a defect: I'm indeed talkative - but my friends think I often say some interesting stuff ;-) and I'm always apologizing! I really do mindlessly...
