Earlier Random Thoughts & Trivia : [2005] [2004] [2003] [earlier]

10.21.06 - First look at new house...

...time for an extreme remodel. And by "extreme" I mean bulldoze and rebuild.

As a lot of you know we bought a house way-way out from Portland (like 23 miles). It was advertised "home is no value" and talk about truth in advertising (highlights are rats, hole in floor, car jack holding back of house up, and lotsa wiring tacked to the wall/ceiling). The former occupants left today and handed over the keys, well, we're glad to have our demolition permit in hand and plenty of contractors lined up to demolish/rebuild! The best part about the new place is the ~.2 acres that we get to landscape, not terribly big (basically a double sized city lot) which we think we can manage with our busy schedules. Second best part is I am getting a 700+ sq ft home office and game studio above the garage. :)

09.30.06 - Not many updates in 2006 :(

Been super busy with work, homeschooling, working on my game company, and stressing out about the people we bought our land/house from (they can't seem to find a new place to live so in the meantime they are renting from us).

08.20.06 - New Blog!

I've started a new blog detailing development of Galacticus, my Grand Strategy game project. Mostly it will cover design notes and status updates as the game moves closer to completion. Been thinking about reworking this sites project section for any interesting code techniques or downloads of source code that I might want to make.

Skip on over to read all about Galacticus

03.10.06 - Resume update & Link-IN!

With some changes in the work landscape I thought it was time to polish up my resume. Oh, I'm also Linked IN, so check all that out for work-related offers.

Nothing is changing in the near-term for me regarding my "day job", but it's better to be prepared. And by "for me" I mean my day-job company is going through all manner of painful changes over the next 6-9 months that will be causing turmoil for co-workers, for my niche it is mostly business as usual (I hope).
