Mr. Daroowala is an ‘Engineer-cum-Banker’. His experience in the field of engineering, project finance, and project monitoring has spread over 25 years. He has been working for the National Development Finance Corporation (NDFC) for the past 15 years, presently in the position of Vice President. Prior to that he has served Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Ltd. for a decade. He has traveled to and stayed in Japan for a one year technical education. He is well versed in the Japanese Language.

A Gold-medallist in his education, Mr. Daroowala did his BE (Mech.) from N.E.D Govt. Engg. College. in 1974. Thereafter he added to his credits a MBA degree from IBA, a Masters (Econ.) from University of Karachi, a Post-graduate Diploma in Computer Sc. from IBA, the Banking Diploma from Institute of Bankers in Pakistan and a Technical Diploma from Japan.

He is a Visiting Faculty member at various professional institutes. He has taught marine engineers for 2 years at the Training School of Karachi Shipyard. His areas of interest are Finance, Economics, Human Development, Management, Project Finance and Rehabilitation Finance. He is and has been an active member of various professional and social bodies, including Computer Society, Institute of Engineers, Association of Overseas Technical Scholarships (Tokyo), MENSA International, etc.
