Dr. Abu Turab Alam

Dr. Abu Turab Alam is a BSC Hons in Physics, MSC Physics (Electronics), and Ph.D in Computer Sciences with specialization in Software Engineering, Requirements Analysis and Artificial Intelligence. He has had more than 25 years of experience in research oriented organizations such as SUPARCO, Business Aids Equipment, PCSIR Laboratories and NED University.

Currently he is System Manager at NED University at the Computer Language Laboratory and is also teaching computer courses there.He has made impressive contribution to research in his field and has published a number of papers and reports.

His most recent publications include, Design and Fabrication of Analogue pH-meter, Pedestrian Crosswalk Controller, A Simple Optical Tachometer, Background of Software Engineering, and Potential of Solar Power for AC Power Generation.

Dr. Alam’s areas of interest include Software Development Methods and Tools, Natural Language Processing and Knowledge Representation Schema, Digital Image Processing Computer Networking, Programming Languages and Operating Systems.
