Dr. I. A. Mukhtar:

Dr. I. A. Mukhtar is Professor Emeritus at IBA and Chairman, Curriculum Development Committee of the Academic Board. Earlier he served as Deputy Director and then became first Pakistani Dean and Director of IBA and served up to 1972. He made an enormous contribution to the development of IBA. He has an MA from Aligarh Muslim University and a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University, USA.

Dr. Mukhtar served on the first executive committee of the Pakistan Management Association, on the Panel of Economists for the Fourth Five Year Plan and on the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Industries. He was a Visiting Senior Specialist at the East-West Center, University of Hawaii. He has published a number of research papers and case studies.
