Dr. Abdul Wahab

Professor Dr. Abdul Wahab has served as Dean and Director of IBA from 1979 to 1995 and contributed greatly to the establishment of IBA's reputation as the premiere institution for business education. He served for 2 1/4 years as Vice Chancellor, University of Karachi. During this period, Dr. Wahab introduced several financial and administrative reforms in the University of Karachi.

He has an MBA from IBA, MBA with major in marketing from Indiana University, USA, and a Ph.D. in international business from University of British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Wahab has been awarded the Sitara-e-lmtiaz in 1994 for his meritorious services in the field of education.
Area of teaching

His fields of teaching and research include international business, marketing management, development economics and comparative management. He has undertaken a number of foreign assignments including one year at Waseda University in Japan. He has published numerous journal articles and case studies.
