My fascination with sunsets and sunrises is pretty evident in this small collection. The crimson red color of the sky when the sun is about to set and the diffraction of light caused by the atmosphere offers for me the most enthralling of sights. So here's to color...
This
photograph was taken during my recent visit to Memphis. The place is Mammoth
Caves in Chattanooga. The sun has set but the light still remains in the
sky. Calm is the only word I could think of when I shot this photograph.
Ruby caves. This is an underground cave with an awe-inspiring natural waterfall. The cave walls have been lit by artificial lighting and the yellow streak cutting down the middle of the photograph is the water falling. Again the color is arresting.
This
is the head of the merlion in Singapore. Sentosa is an island off the coast
of Singapore and a theme park of sorts. This merlion turns into a riot
of colors at night during the laser show. This photograph was taken when
I took a short break in singapore after completing a project at Kuala Lumpur.
I loved KL and loved Sentosa.
The
beauty of Hawaii is very visible is the color of the ocean and the sand.
This photograph was taken when I was attempting a perilous climb up a mountain.
The tall buildings of Honolulu are visible in the bottom right corner of
this photograph.
Thats
the Bay Bridge silhoutted against the crimson skyline of a rising sun.
An unsuccessful attempt at deep sea fishing in the pacific ocean early
morning in San Fransisco gave me this wonderful oppurtunity.
