High Voltage's Complete C64 Collection CD
-------------------------------------------
Thank you for purchasing a copy of our C64 CD-Rom. Let me first tell you
a little about us. We are two guys who have been involved in the C64 scene
since 1986. We have both been involved in many groups and covered virtually
every aspect of the scene between us.
This CD contains all the Software that we have collected during our great
times on the C64. Dating from 1984 up to the present day. Suprising as it
may seem to a lot of people there is still a lively C64 scene today. Although
very different from a few years ago there are still a lot of people still
heavily into the 64. And the rest of you, like us, have a lot of great
memories in the C64. That is one of the reasons why we compiled this CD. So
anytime we want to reminisce the old days we can just pull out the CD, plug
it in the drive, Boot C64S and away we go. Everything is brought back to us.
Above all Enjoy the CD, we have done everything we can to make the CD as
complete as possible.
Devious Dave and Bod of High Voltage.

Now let me explain the directory structure of the CD to you. The directories
are as follows:-
DEMOS - This directory contains our entire C64 Demos collection.
The demos date back from around 1986 until April of 1995.
There are literally thousands of demos and magazines. Oh
the fun I had looking over my old demos and reading charts
in 5 year old magazines. The collection is as complete as
it could be for someone mailtrading for years.
EMULATOR - C64 Emulators (C64s20a! = The best).
GAMES - 64ergamer, C64 Pack (Activision), Classic games.
MS-DOS - This Directory contains various IBM tools to be used with
the image files. The IBM Tools section is considerably
larger than the Amiga Dir. In here you can find a tool
to do virtually everything you have ever dreamed of to
a .D64 file. Also included are the latest Shareware and
Upgrade copies of C64S and PC64, the two most common PC
C64 Emulators.
NEWGAMES - This Directory contains the second part of our C64 Games
Images. This is the newer set of Images. Dating from
around 1989 ut until the present day.
OLDGAMES - This Directory contains the first part of our C64 Games
Images. These files are dated from 1982 up until 1989.
Note: The reason the Games files are split into two sections is simple.
When I started collecting on the C64 I placed all my Games, Demos
and Utilities together in the same database. After a couple of
years of this I decided to split them. That is when the new Games
section started and also when the Demos and Utilities sections
started.
OTHEREMU - Snes, Macintosh, Atari, GameBoy and other emulators.
AMIGA - This Directory contains various Amiga tools to be
used for copying/converting the .D64 images back to your
1541 or into your Amiga C64 Emulator Format. Also encluded
is the shareware version of the great A64 Emulator Package.
SIDPLAY - Sid player (windows and dos) for playing sidtunes.
SIDTUNES - In here you will find hundreds of Sid Player tunes. All the
tunes are in Amiga Playsid format BUT have all been renamed
with PC SidPlayer file extensions so they are runable on a
PC. The files are also runable through PlaySid. The latest
versions of Amiga PlaySid and PC Sidplay are in the relevant
Tools directory.
TRANSFER - Transfer files between C64-PC or d.64-t.64 !
UTILSC64 - Here are our C64 Utilities. Also included are a copy of
of DCMR and the up-to date games/demos lists and a copy
of the latest Word Writer (The best C64 Word Processor).
As well as that there are 50 something image files full of
tools. I am pretty sure you will find a tool in there
somewhere for virtually anything you possibly would want to
do on a C64. If not, it probably is not available.
VSEBINA - This Directory contains all the file lists for the C64
Images on the CD. Games, Demos and Utilities. The lists
are stored in ASCII, MicroSoft Access and DCMR (C64)
format. DCMR is included in a .D64 image along with the
file lists.
Note: There will be an individual file listings inside each of the
directories as well as in the /VSEBINA directory. There are two
file listings in each of the C64 Image file directories,
Alphabetical (.ABC extension) and Numerical (.NUM extension).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We plan to upload regular updates to our FTP base in the Netherlands. They
will probably come monthly and contain all the files released since the CD
was originally pressed. The more active the C64 Scene remains the more
updates we will release.
There is an Executable C64 Programfile containing full information on this
CD available from our FTP base "PITEL_LNX.IBK.FNT.HVU.NL" in the
\PUB\C64\C64_CD directory.
If you have any questions about the CD or would like to make additional
orders then you can contact us by leaving email to: AN233124@ANON.PENET.FI
