Notice that the runners disappear off the lower left hand side of the picture as they are entering Stanley Park. They then reappear just below and then go around the body of water to the right called Lost Lagoon. Someone later pointed out to me that from the start, up Georgia Street above the top of the picture, is about 500m. The part of the run you don't see, and the reason for it, is that it consists of 3km of running thru Stanley Park! 5km of solid runners/walkers. AMAZING!
