Hello
fellow Internet surfer . . . welcome to my home page. I'm very glad you
made it this far . . . and I hope you'll return later as this page will
be transformed on a regular basis. Looks like I survived last semester
studying all that geekie Computer Science
stuff --"just give me the damn answers for the exams, professor."
If this site is too slow, go to my alternate
site at Western University which should
be much faster than here. Sorry if you had to jet off to the other site....but
"its not the end of the world."
I
plan to include links to kool and unique places on the net:
Job,
jobs, jobs! (keep checking here for links to all the big job sites!)
JokerMania98...jokes
that'll make you die of laughter
Travel
sites (hey, relax...take a vacation!)
Internet
Pen Pal sites like Cyberfriends (the koolest friends from all over the
world!)
Resumes
of my friends whom don't have their own web space
Educational
links to take correspondence for transfer back to your university
Health
& Fitness sites that are hipper than Woodstock!
. . .and
much, much more!
My
Background
I was born
on the east coast of Barbados
(Blades Hill, St. Philip), but my family soon gave up the "warmth" for
the "cold." So, I grew up both in the midst of a laid back society and
in the heart of Western idealism (i.e.. fast paced lifestyles that's faster
than warp 9) at the same time. Lucky me!! All in all, I'm
very proud to be Canadian and see great things for this country --"once
our politicians quit raiding the treasury."
As a
person born under the sign of Gemini, everything I do revolves around 4
sacred principles:
1) "Its not the end of the
world."
2) "Tomorrow is another day
filled with possibilities both good and bad"
3) "A man who never had a
chance, never took a chance."
4) "Talk is cheap, but actions
speak louder than words."
My
Interests
Thefastest way to really get to know
me is by discovering what I like to do and my aspirations:
Medieval
History; Ancient Greek & Roman History; Economics;
Politics; Sociology; Finance; Management Theory;
Marketing; Education; Free Trade; Environmental Issues;
Ethics
Socializing
dancing,
shopping for clothes with friends, traveling to distant places, learning
languages, cooking
Reading
This would
have to be one of my greatest pleasures since I always come away with new,
imaginative insights which, I believe, will make me a more well rounded
individual in the long run. As far as magazines go, these are
my favorites: C++ Report,
PC/Computing, Computerworld, Fortune, Time, National Geographic.
In
the summer of 1995, I read the following books:
The Odessa
File - Frederick Forsyth *****
The Demolished
Man - Alfred Bester
It -Stephen
King *****
The Carpetbaggers
-Harold Robbins *****
Bloodline
- Sydney Sheldon *****
If Tomorrow
Comes - Sydney Sheldon *****
The Naked
Face - Sydney Sheldon
Star Trek:
Next Generation - Masks --Gene Roddenberry
The Prince
of the City - Richard Daley
The Doll's
House - Evelyn Stevens
Phoenix
Force -The Destroyer: Head Man -- Richard Sapir & Warren Murray
The
Bone Yard (5 stories) *****
1. Feelings
- F. Paul Wilson
2. Faces
- F. Paul Wilson
3. Tenants
- F. Paul Wilson
4. The
Gardener - Sherri S. Tepper
5. Monsters
- Ray Garton
I was deeply moved by The Carpetbaggers, If Tomorrow Comes,
Bloodline, It, and The Odessa File. I was so inspired,
especially by Robbins, King and Forsyth, that I plan to take up writing
as a hobby. In addition, The Carpetbaggers is my personal
favourite!
I, truly, have been very fortunate
in my career endeavours! Each organization provided me with valuable lessons
and, of course, skills that I
will not soon forget. Furthermore, the friendships created out of these
associations have been nothing less
than spectacular and hence, I wish all of them the best of luck in their
future endeavours. So without further
adieu, here is my most up to date resume!
