This is a letter of recommendation for Sharon Soong.

I hired Sharon in January of this year as part of our Information Systems Support HelpDesk team.

Our HelpDesk is a high pressure and fast paced environment requiring excellent communication and analytical skills. Our HelpDesk supports multi-platformed environments to include VMS, UNIX, IBM, Novell Netware, Appletalk and NT for Cedars Sinai Medical Center and other medical center clients. Our networking connectivity includes DECnet, LAT, ARCnet, TCP/IP, and various departmental LAN topologies and configurations.

On a daily basis, our HelpDesk Analysts identify and resolve a variety of issues. We average 500 calls in an eight hour shift, and with a total end user base of approximately 6000 and growing, the challenges faced by our HelpDesk team are quite demanding. In addition, our HelpDesk Analysts assist with vendor interface on hardware repairs, maintaining hardware inventory, and participate in the field to verify status of network devices and troubleshoot user problems onsite.

Without a doubt, Sharon has been an outstanding member of our team from the start. She has been motivated, reliable, eager to learn and quick to adapt. She has consistently produced quality work and received high praise from both external clients and internal staff and co-workers. She takes initiative to learn new skills and has generally exceeded expectations all around. Additionally, Sharon frequently sets the standard for quality performance on the HelpDesk team.

I would highly recommend her to any employer without hesitation. I very much regret losing her as we had plans to promote her.
