Ultimate Hypercard Resource - Hypercard Heaven
This is my now ageing page dedicated to Hypercard, the now deceased IDE Apple created many many years ago, and which has been so faithful to me through the years. But, all things come to an end, and thus, Hypercard, like so many others, has passed into the halls of timeless classics - incredible programs, but ultimately useless in todays day and age.
Artificial Intelligence stack. A simple yet effective stak that includes a small AI that "learns" various things.
It could easily be adapted for certain games, and with some syntax expansion it should work quite well in a variety of situations.
The current version is barely even releasable, but contains some interesting code that might be useful. So take a look and see what you think.
This handy little program simply opens and saves files in a fixed-width font with line numbers, great for editing files used on muds, PC and other platforms.
Includes search, search and replace, new file creation, no-dialog save if open etc.
New 'Check' feature searches for lines too big to be displayed on a screen 80 characters wide.
Code slightly optimized and debugged, and several problems fixed.
EOM (aka COM) is an encryption stak that offers several methods of encryption and is not half bad, for a beginners attempt.
The latest and last version is 1.61, which is coincidentally the first one publicly available. v1.0 - 1.6 were never released due to problems and things. But version 1.61 is here, and can be used for tinkering's sake.
Features 24 bit keys. This doesn't offer the best encryption, but is good enough for most people. It has several optional features and employs COM Level 1 Encryption Methods.
A very simple program for taking notes while using Hypercard.
Small, B&W and fast, so it doesn't disrupt your work, and takes half a second to load.
It includes a simple find function for searching notes, and a few other features.
Unlimited notes with up to 30000 characters per note.
Much like IRC, but for networks. It includes support for multiple users and features you'd find in any decent chat program. It's now almost finished, with most features fully implemented.
Many thanks to the SendAEData (see Kewl Stakz section), without which it would have been a *lot* harder to make.
The client for the above server. Everything's pretty much finished, really.
Takes an inputed sentance and figures out things such as the verb(s), adjective(s), command(s) and object(s), returning the result.
It is currently basically finished, for the basics, but there are still some minor twibbles. Its code is quite open, free for changing and use in any way you want. It also works quite well, and is very fast.
Unfortunately it only supports around 75% of possible inputs with known syntax (one area remains uncoded and will generate non-exist handler errors. This will never be fixed by myself, since I no longer work with Hypercard.
This very simple program pings IP addresses as given by yourself. It allows the use of wildcards (*'s) and works quite well. Simple.
