The Naia Du Blog
Lots of poker, drums, HOME MADE things -- religion, philosophy, words, and stuff. Weirdness rules.
Entry for February 5, 2007

Well, today is a special day because the organization that I work for turns 50 years today. That means, we will be broadcasting live on radio and TV, so I guess I'll be on/in the air today. I know that we'll be having some sort of brunch with live music and things. I met the drummer yesterday and the keyboard player in the band that will be playing.

I woke up at 05:00 (5 AM) this morning and went straight to the poker games online. I haven't been playing much lately so I wanted to play 50-100 hands in the $500-$1000 room. However, there we not many players there and the $100-$200 rooms were pretty much empty as well.

I settled for a $25-$50 room, FL TH 10-players. I brought $625 to the table (25 small bets) and decided to play until I had reached $2,500 (100 small bets). However, I got carried away and ended up with over $6,000 after 61 hands, so I called it a day (at the tables, anyway).

I am going to go and get ready for work (or whatever we'll be doing today) ... I have seen instruments, wine, food, cameras, powertools, and stressed people running around for a week now. It's probably gonna be a cool day.
