A Word About DreamCast..
About the 384x224 resolution :
I'm not quite sure about this, but all of the things you see in the screen
is quite the same as you see in the arcade version.... unlike X-COTA in the Saturn..
so maybe not...since the resolution in MVC is higher than the Neo-Geo fighting
games..
About Roll's Theme :
Is the same as the Original Soundtrack version! (With voices!)
Loading time :
It is done during the versus screen, so you cannot do anything
in that screen. but the time on the VS screen is the same as in the arcade.
and add the fact that the DC has only six buttons (PS has eight)
Rumble Pack :
It SUPPORTS rumble pack.
Control :
Very annoying, On the default setting, it is very hard to do a
tag-team super and near-impossible to do a variable-cross.
More info :
The game is somewhat more responsive, I mean, when Onslaught
uses his dash attack and you got hit, your character shouts like, 2-3 times,
and the DC version , 5-7 times.
Another Thing :
It looks and feels the same as the arcade version , a joystick is
ABSOLUTELY NEEDED to enjoy the game, and the sound when someone
smacks (dead) to the ground is the same as MSF EX in the Playstation.
Strider VM
Thanks for the DC info. I really like the DC gamepad. The thumb-stick offers great control and the analog right/left buttons are a neat step-up from previous gamepads. But when your playing MvC.. you're using a joystick or you're just plain loosing, that's all there is to it. As for the Neo*Geo games, I think they ran at a more standard 320x200. A bit lower than the funky Capcom standard res of 384x224.
Surely A Debate Team Champ..

A National Challenge!
Fondest Greetings to you all, Marvel vs. Capcom afficionado... I have
traveled across the nation (United States) in search for worthy
opponents, at this Marvelous game... I have gone from New York to Los Angelos for
an adequete challenge, and have had the honor of playing along side many
amazing individuals... I usually leave my initials as ??? (ever see it
before? or even use it yourself?) I know that it's a cliche, and
hundreds of other arcade gamerz use it to... I know that you are all, accomplished
distributers of pain at this game, possibly unstoppable... My question
to all and any of you: Do you think you're Master material...? If you have
reason to believe so, then please don't hesitate to briefly tell me how
elite you are, at... DoomDragon9999

Who was that cheezy man?
what game is captain commando from?
BumpyKnuxs
Well, he's from Captain Commando, as un-likely as it may seem. It was a Capcom arcade scroller just like Final Fight. Basically a superhero game, you could choose from a slew of characters such as a dagger-fighting mummy, a midget in a cool robot suit, and of course Captain Commando himself. It may or may not have been an attempt at a modern sequel to Commando (though Mercs would qualify better from a gameplay perspective). You can play it on the Callus emulator, or on the arcade-inferior Super Nintendo.
Hi I'm stupid, how are you?
How do you do combos and supers for Gambit and Mega Man.
Also how do you chose U.S Agent and Ice Man as the helper, and your
website is great.
Steven672
Well Mr. Steven, I would have gotten that info for ya, but since you descided to send a "find your true love" chain letter along to me and about five thousand of your closest friends the very next day, you're just SOL buddy.
Is he related to Qui Gon?...
1. Where is Jin from?
2.What game is he in?
3.Where do I get one?
4.How much does it cost?
5.Is he gay? (just kidding) :-)

2) Uhh, also Cyberbots. It was a really kickass fighting game with humans in control of giant robots, which resembled Darkstalkers or Streetfighter Alpha. It was, however, less distributed than Darkstalkers so most people have never heard of the damn thing.
3) Try your local arcade vendor. Look in the yellowpages under Vending or Ammusements.
4) It depends. A full Cyberbots machine might run you as much as $1000. If you just go for the boards, however, you could get away with maybe $450. Though you would then need something to play it in. Either an arcade cabinet or a box containing a PC power supply, RGB/NTSC adapter, joysticks and L/R sound plugs all going to a Jamma standard connector. Might not be worth it.
5) I tried to reach him for comment, but he's on tour signing autographs in Japan (apperently MvC really gave his career another kick-start). Sorry.

Can I play MvC at home?
Hey I want to play Marvel Vs. Capcom on an emulator or on my PlayStation, or on my pocket Gameboy or some other damn thing, bla bla bla...
[insert dumbass' name here]
Ok ok, just to keep ya happy, the word is Capcom has already begun to port Streetfighter Alpha 3 and Marvel Vs. Capcom for the Sega DreamCast! No joke. Now, I have played the DreamCast, and let me tell you this machine is BAD ASS. This is not just a machine which makes an attempt to approximate a sega arcade game at home. This machine is capable of performing at least as well as the Sega System 2 machine, ala House Of The Dead. In fact, though the DC hardware is quite different than the Sega arcade hardware, the DC actualy has some features that rate it along side with the Sega System 3, ala Lost World.
Playing the latest Virtua Fighter on the DreamCast was like playing the arcade, with the exception that the resolution was lower (though I was using a composite video connector. This might clear up when using an S-Video connector). The frame rate on the DC was far beyond ANYTHING you can imagine based on past game systems. If you have a pentium 233 or so, load up the original Doom and play on low-res mode, that will give you a good idea of how smooth the DC plays. And this was a game ported from a Sega 3D arcade game. Imagine how smooth a Capcom CPS-II game will play. Trust me, if MvC is ported to the DC as it looks to be, you will soon be playing an arcade perfect port of the game. The days of Neo-Geo are back, and the DC is a lot cheaper!
Ok I've gotten quite a few e-mails asking me "oh please DamnD, father of Capcom news, tell me how or when I can play MvC at home!" Some of them ask of MvC emulators, some of PSX ports or even importing the "japanese PSX version" ?!? Hello, it's not OUT YET! Just give it some time!
Some MvC Combos
yo I know some infinity combos with gambit,chun-li,shadow
lady, megamen, and jin. first gambit press weak punch, weak kick repeatly with a perfect timing when the person is
coming down from the air. chun-li kick the person up and press weak punck, weak kick, medium punch, down+medium
kick repeatly. shadow lady hers is same as chun-li's but press the buttons slower. megamen charge up the fire ball for a very very long time and release.then do rush drill, kick him up and do the big megamen super. Jin hold start and rub the buttons fast.(the person has to fall right on top of Jin)

Marvel Vs Capcom
Do you know or have any emulators or ROMs for Marvel vs Capcom? (since your page's title is Damnd Emu page emu=emulation?)
Streak88
Nope. You see, Mame and Callus have only emulated pre-CPS-II games. Capcom started using the CPS-II system with Super Street Fighter II, and it ranges through the SF Alphas, Darkstalkers series, D&D, Alien Vs Predator, and more. The CPS-II has not yet been fully emulated (though there is an emulator which plays Q-Sound from CPS-II roms, but that's it). Marvel Vs Capcom is at least CPS-II, if not something newer. As for the future of Capcom emulation, don't expect a CPS-II emulator any time soon.
Just an idea for a new game
Could they not make a game that might have had some of capcom's more sinister charectors from resident evil eg. Tyrant which would have made a great jump in player.
Peter
Great idea! But, although I do work for a game company (to remain nameless), I don't work for Capcom. So, since I have absolutely nothing to do with it, we'll all just have to cross our fingers and hope the top execs at Capcom read this page and shout "YES!! THIS GAME WILL BE CAPCOM's BIGGEST SUCCESS EVER! WE'LL BUY MICROSOFT! WOOHOO!" All b.s. aside though, it isn't as strange a concept as it seems. Sega has already made an arcade fighting game out of The House Of The Dead series - Blood Bullet - using the Die Hard Arcade engine. And then there's Nightmare Creatures which is at least 80% fighting game. Good luck on your wish Peter!
Demos?
do u know any way i can geta demo of this and/or x-men vs. street
fighter? thanx alot
EWSEDA83
Not that I know of. Keep your eye out on the DreamCast magazines as it releases in September. You may find one with a demo disc featuring MvC. They have already published a few DC demo discs in Japan. As for X-Men vs Street Fighter, I think you can pick that up for the PC for $10-$15, so look around the PC shops.
