A little bit about me:
I was born and raised in Michigan in a small suburb of Detroit, a community called Fraser. I lived in that area for the first 30 years of my life.
I was raised in a caring family, and brought up in a moral, Christian-based environment. I not only consider myself to be a Christian, I believe that Jesus Christ is my only hope. Because of Him, I live a very contented life.
I encourage you to investigate a Christian Devotional mailing list that I moderate. To subscribe to the list, send any message to 1corinthians7-subscribe@associate.com.
If you have any questions or problems with it, you can also send me mail at masinick at yahoo dot com. In addition, there is a Web site, http://www.associate.com, which allows you to access this site and many others as well. I highly recommend it.
I am currently attending Landmark Baptist Church, where I am a charter member of a newly merged church in Louden, NH.
Professionally, I am a Software Consultant. My expertise is problem solving. It is not too surprising that most of my recent work has been in various testing and Quality Control positions. Recently, my experience has led me into Project Management work. My current assignment is to coordinate testing of business applications of market trading data.
I also enjoy technical research and writing. Since the fall of 2001, I co-authored four reviews of recent vintage GNU/Linux operating systems distributions, assisted in the editing of the final production, and the work was published at http://www.extremetech.com. For several days, it was the feature work on the site. Hopefully the information we published will be there for some time.
I've also worked part time as a Product Support Specialist for Lycoris, makers of a set of desktop consumer Linux software products.
I have completed course work at the University of Phoenix, https://stu.uophx.edu/formslogin.asp, where I have taken classes in pursuit of a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.

Recently, I have been using Greater Good when I want to get books. This site will often work with various vendors, (including Amazon.com to donate a portion of their proceeds to various causes. I have selected my own cause, and usually purchase from one of their vendors.
