Something that was true
I’d listen to your heartbreak
And I even trusted you
I told you someone lied
When you lost your faith in me
Was when our friendship died
You just threw it in my face
I always thought you’d listen
Any time, or any place
Proud you were my friend
I would have walked fire for you
Until you chose for it to end
But now all that is gone
I only asked that you would hear
But I was masked as wrong
I guess we chalk it up to fate
I hope someday you will see
That it was truly your mistake
