Stop and Say Thank You

Stop and say Thank you

Memories of my childhood
Mine not perfect all the time
But I stop to say a thank you
For my parents love divine

Many trials I have overcome
And more will come my way
But I stop to say a thank you
For the strength I have today

I have been granted precious gifts
That came from God above
And I stop to say a thank you
For my family and their love

I have many years to travel
Across this grand old stage
I pray God blesses each footstep
As I get nearer to old age

I look forward towards my future
I accept all that comes my way
I stop everything I’m doing
Just to thank God for the day
