Welcome to
the introduction part of Using Windows API in VB Tutorial. This
tutorial is about how to add additional functionality to your
applications by using the Windows Advanced Programing Interface
(API).
I used VB
5.0 while writing the tutorial, so all of the examples and everything
else in this tutorial is about using the API in VB 5.0. Some of
the examples, though, may work in older versions of VB.
The tutorial
is written more like a reference than a book. So, you may jump
to whatever chapter you want any time you want. If you have no
experience with API, I suggest reading everything one after another.
Browsing the
tutorial is easy. At the end of each chapter, you'll see links
to the Contents Page, to the previous chapter and the next chapter.
You may also return to VB Offbeat home or any of its sub-categories
any time you like by pressing some of the links in the upper left
corner of each page.
So, go on
and discover a whole new world of functionality.
