Well these are my boys.
Two of the greatest friends a guy could have. They greet you with a great
bombardment of cheers (barks), kisses....just basically a really warm welcoming
that would make anyone feel right at home. They are just the sweetest guys
that I know. Hey they are my boys, and I would never give them up for anything!
This is Achilles....the
youngest of my two doggies. He is a cross German Shepard/Border Collie.
He is the baby of the family...the big baby. As you can see above he is
the king of the house. You can also see that he really had a rough Christmas
that year. I mean I think he changed positions on the couch a whole five
times that evening! Although he is the most loving dog in the world, he
is extremely protective of the house and family, and with those big ears,
he can hear me driving up to the house from blocks away, or a person walking
all the way across the road. I just had to put this picture
here. This is Achilles when he was just a little pup! He doesn't look like
it here, but he is actually smaller then a medium sized cat.
This is Scamper, the older brother. You see Scamper and Achilles are half brothers. While having the same mother, Scamper is a cross Dachshund/Border Collie. He is one of the friendliest dogs I have ever met and still acts like a puppy even though he is getting up there in age. Granted he is very grumpy in the morning, but he is so energetic later in the day and is always ready to go for a run or a car ride....as he attempts to tell you by the way he talks. OK....so my Super Scampy
pictures is kind of cruel. No, I don't dress up my dog in costumes or anything
(I'm not sick you know), but if you ever saw this dog jump, you would see
why the cape is very fitting. I swear he can jump about six feet from a
stand still. Of course getting older he doesn't jump as much as he used
to but he can still grab a tennis ball out of the air once in a while.
When the good weather comes, I am going to take him to the park again and
let him fly!
