Now brewing JJct 1.0b - The Junction of Java and Windows development.

JJct 1.0b is now available. The following enhancements have been made in the new version:

  1. Added deprecation compiler option
  2. Re-compiled JJCT under Delphi 3.02

About JJct

JJct is a Java IDE written for Windows 95/NT. It is currently available on Internet sites and also included on cd-roms in several books. Originally I wrote JJct because I could not find a Java Editor that supported different fonts. It started out as a simple editor and evolved into a multi-threaded Java development environment. JJct is written in Borland's Delphi.

Known Issues/Suggestions

  1. Process error messages - Goto line with error by clicking
  2. Ability to save Font Style (bold, etc)
  3. Accelerator Keys

Notes:

To get JJct to pause after executing a java program so you can see the output create a batch file in the \JAVA\BIN directory called JJCT.BAT. Add the following line to the batch file:

@java.exe %1 %2 %3

Then change the JJct Interpreter option to point to the JJCT.BAT file.
