What is BrainOffline?
My name is Brian Donovan-Smith. BrainOffline is a handle I took many years ago in the infancy of the Internet. 10 points to the person that spotted than brain is Brian spelt wrong. I have been using that handle eversince and it appears that it is here to stay. This site has been written to expose some of the tools and products that I have, or are in the process of developing.

OWX
OWX is a collection of utilities (three currently) for developing solutions for JD Edwards OneWorld or Peoplesoft EnterpriseOne.

OW Export. Exports OW objects to text files.
OW Versions. Export OW versions to CSV files.
OW Browser. Browse OW Objects from the comfort of your HTML browser.

OW Export
OWExport is a tool to export OneWorld objects to a text file. Features include:

Easily export OW objects to text files (simpler than adding to your project, click design, design tab then design again, click a warning dialog... what a hastle)
Export all objects in a single or muliple projects (good for documenting your enhancements)
Exporting table definitions including indexes and table trigger ER code
More complete Event Rule code listing (includes DD plus other additions)
Useful for documenting your projects
Colour syntax (with Crimson Editor)

OW Export is now in Beta 2. What this means is it is free, and I still need your feedback. If there is anything you would like to improve, or include, then email me. I have implemented just about all of your suggestions so far.

OW Versions
OWVersions is the second tool I developed. It exports Report (UBE) and Application versions to a comma seporated file (CSV). It is very useful for viewing, documenting and also comparing versions. If you are having trouble finding out why a report or application is not performing as you thing it should, then this tool may uncover a problem in the version you are using.

OW Browser
OW Browser is the dynamic, HTML version of OWExport. Instead of exporting to text files, it uses you browser to search and display OW objects.

As an added bonus, there are many more features in this next release.

Search For Data Dictionary items within Tables or Views (e.g. which tables have AN8 fields)
