The following photos and comments were taken from the Cricket BBS located in Pacific Grove, California. (PG is the little town between Monterey and Pebble Beach.)

One of the nicest places in town is the Monterey Bay Aquarium that actually lies on the border between PG and Monterey. It is housed in one of the old canneries made famous in Steinbeck's Cannery Row. Ed Rickets (Doc) would have loved this place.

The following five VGA sized (640x480x256) snapshots were taken by Kay Rigg at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in December of 1990. The images were made with a Canon Xapshot camera and converted to computer images using a Computereyes video digitizer.

The aquarium has a small aviary for shore birds, here are two avocets along with a sandpiper and perhaps a sanderling.
