Well...Games & SoundBoard programming I've promised ... ok, you'll get it.

For games programming first you must learn the basis of the graphicboard programming ... I think the better reading you can have for breakfast is the Games Programming Encyclopedia that you can find in public domain at

ftp://x2ftp.oulu.fi/pub/programming/dos/gpe10

don't forget to download the patches at:

ftp://x2ftp.oulu.fi/pub/programming/dos/gpe10p

so complete the reading with the Ultimate Games Programming Reference at

www.I-don-t-remember-at-the-moment.wait

you'll find a lot of valuable informations on this topic and even on soundboard, mouse, keyboard, joystick, PIC, PIT, DMA, programming.

So... when you'll get your own BitBlt routines running (fast, I hope), you'll feel that with a bit of sound / music ... you can do you first, real, GAME!

For that reason I'm writing a tutorial: How to program you SoundBlaster board. Give it a read and let me know what do you think of it.

  Chapter 3 - Mixer programming (01-06-98)

FAQ - Frequently asked question (when available)

or download the whole tutorial in text format or in richtext format.
