Reviser - the premium revision aid for the Psion |

This is the page for Reviser v3.x for the Psion Series 3a and 3c.
It is worth noting perhaps that Reviser v3.x and v5.x (ie Series 3 and Series 5 versions) do differ in their handling of source data, and the files that they create.
Series 3: Uses an ordinary Data file as the source for the test data, and creates simple test files, which appear under the Reviser icon in the system screen, that contain the simple test criteria. The source Data file can still be accessed by the built in Data app.
Series 5: Reviser creates a single file, which appears as a Reviser file in the system screen, per test data and test criteria combination. ie the files that Reviser creates contain all the test data for a subject, ie French, and also all the test criteria for performing tests with that data. Because Reviser now uses the new DBMS SQL model provided by EPOC32, the file it creates cannot be accessed by the built in Data app.
Reviser v3.x needs to use a Data file that has 5 fields, mark, lesson, group, field X and field Y. A conversion path is provided to convert a simpler Data file having only the last two of those fields into the required 5 field format.

and appear crossed out in the list view
