The 256-colour Quest For Glory III contains some funny easter-eggs and jokes. If you happen to have found other ones, please send them to the e-mail address stated on the index screen.
The first day at the inn(and some day's later), you can see a clown, sitting at the left table. If you look at him, you can see, he's a silly clown from QFG2. in case you don't get this joke, silly clowns is an option in QFG2.
If you walk away from the fire you made in the savanna, and forget to put it out, you can see a message from smokey the elephant who goes like this: Put out that fire, or 'll sit on you! tusk tusk! Also, if you choose restore, or restart, you get another message. You can see that it was only a test.
At the same time, you see the silly clown(see above), you can also see a man at the right table, who hasn't eaten one bite of this food. It is just Oliver from the Quest For Glory III crew. Boy, what some people won't do, to get food. Thank you Domen Novak, for sending this joke.
A very great easter egg was send in by James, and RBMBCBJB@msn.com. When you have bought the tinderbox, go to salim. Sit down, and use the tinderbox on the lamp in front of you, and use the HAND icon on the lamp. Do it 3 times, and you can see the result what becomes of the hero(WARNING! Do not try this at home)
The moose we were looking for is found by many people, and really, how could we be so foolish to not notice the moose just standing in the bazaar. We would like to following people : Domen Novak, The Crusader, Brian W. Cook, Phil Ferraro, "IndoFlaven", Daniel Adams. And for those who didn't add their name, just their e-mail adresses : cs-solutions@northknox.net, jporzak@hooked.net
The man at the bazaar who sells weapons and all, also sells very nice daggers, and bows. The daggers for example come from the famous aman-ra tribe(This is referred to sierra's Dagger of amon-ra), and bow, from the lara tribe(this is referred to sierra's female detective laura bow) Thanks to jporzak@hooked.net for the joke.
Just like the moose(see above), there is also another animal which appear in every chapter of Quest for Glory. This time, it is a black bird statue. You can buy it, from the two guys(not from andromeda), at the bazaar, who also sells tinderboxes. Thank you for this easter egg, herald_mage@hotmail.com and "fertilayzer"
Finally, we have a picture of the waffel walker. When you are starving in the savanna near Tarna, you might even see a waffle. Or maybe, you are beginning to see things! Just don't look at it... but it does look tempting. Come on, take a bite. Delicious. Let's eat it! Now your hunger is cured( Thanks to wlodd@cajun.net for this joke) Now if you want it to eat a toasted waffle, you will need the following : One big awful waffle walker, and a flame dart scroll. Read the scroll, and cast a flame dart at the waffle walker. Now you have a toasted waffle.
When you sometimes walk in the Savanna, you'll meet two foreign soldiers. These are both none other than Laurel and Hardy. They're dressed this way, because one of their biggest films had them in the French Foreign Legion.(Thanks to Gary for telling me about their outfit)
Can you recognize the two guys who sells you the tinderbox? They are Sanford & Son from an old serie(personally, i never ever heard of this but because John Wyant and "praeceptor daemion" both told me this, so i believe it)
Sometimes in the Savanna you can see a Rhino. You can better move aside, or you'll be a pizza. Thanks to Joseph Bowers for telling me this. The rhino appears randomly, just like Stanley and Ollie(see above).
The first time when you are sleeping in the Savanna you can see an aardvak
called Arne. He has seen manything, from green hippos, to violet giraffes.
(Thanks to Ed Connell, and many others, whose name I lost, for sending this
joke)
The music playing in the apothecy is a Jefferson airplane song from the 60's
called "white rabbit"(It's about drugs). (Thanks to H.R. Bradsaw for telling
me this)
At the bazaar, you can see some bizarre things. You can see things like some beautiful whatchamacallits, and whataheckisits here on the left, or enourmous wooden whatnots on the right.
Chris John told us about a gopher, who will appear in the Savanna, and talk to you with a lisp, like the one in Winnie the Pooh. We never saw this, but I am in need of some help with this joke, so if you have seen this joke, please check the help section.
I have been told, that sometimes, when the hero dispells the leopardman(or woman), the hero's eyeballs pops out, and his tongue begins to hang off his mouth. I am in need of some help with this joke, so if you have seen this joke, please check the help section.
