Bank representatives access the portal using an Internet browser. Front-end presentation layer is coded using ASP and HTML. Middle-tier business components are written in VB ActiveX DLL. The back-end database is Oracle and the database interactions are optimized using Oracle packages.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Designed and developed forms interface layer using Visual Basic and ActiveX
      • Developed COM business logic components using Visual Basic.
      • Developed tree-view and grid presentation components using JavaScript.

The database was in SQL Server and the reporting tool was Crystal Report.

Middle-tier business components are written in VB Active-X DLL. The SOAP protocol was used from the front-end layer to send the http request to the COM components reside in the server. The back-end database is SQL Server 2000 and the database interactions are optimized using SQL Server store procedures.

      • Designed and developed Security and Foundation windows using HTML, DHTML, ASP and VB.
      • Improved the performance of ADO using XML with DOM services.
