Shipwreck
Shipwreck These three guys are shipwrecked and have been floating on this wooden board for days now, dying of thirst, sea vultures circling over them, you get the picture. Suddenly they spot the silhouette of a trawler on the horizon, start paddling like hell, jumping up and down and shouting their throats out, and like in a miracle, somebody sees them and the ship changes course toward them. When she comes near, they notice she flies a British flag. From above, the skipper bends over the railing and asks, "Who are you guys?" Answers one of them, "Well, I'm English, and my friends here are an American and an Irishman." -- "Ah-ha! Well, in that case, my dear young men, you'll have to pass a little quiz before we pull you up here. You can start right away: What would you consider the most disastrous shipwreck in history?" Anwers the English chap, "Well, Sir, that would have been the Titanic, right?" A rope ladder drops, and he's whisked up to safety. "Now to you, my friend from the Colonies: How many people died in that particular shipwreck, just give me a rough figure?"-- "Hmm, I reckon that musta been some fifteen hundred." Again the rope ladder takes him aboard ship. Then the captain scowls down at the lonely Irishman and says, "Now, my good man: What were their names?"
