We are pleased with the numbers who have come
out for Jr. High and Varsity wrestling this season.
This season we have 19 on our roster and 21 in
Junior High. These numbers reflect an increase of
15 over last year.
Seniors Greg Spiegel and Jake Strouse show great
improvement. Both will see a lot of action this
year. Ryan Voneida has come out for wrestling for
the first time. He is working hard and steadily
improving.
Our juniors are Brett Gold, Seth Martin, Alan
Willow, Brandon Witmer, Jason Hollenbach, Mike
Reicherter, Jered Moyer, and Joe Lengel. This class
will give us the bulk of our experience. Last
season Seth had an excellent year ending 13-6.
Jered had a solid season last year finishing 17-14
and was District runner up. Mike finished the
season with a District 3rd and a trip to the
Regionals.
We have several sophomores Zach Gill, Vince
Swoops, Jay O'Hora, Randy Weaver, Jeremy Wenrich,
and John Marhevsky. Zach will be one of our
premiere wrestlers this season. He finished 22-7 as
a freshman. Jay O'Hora moved here from Penn Manor
where he had an outstanding 9th grade year.
Our thanks to the Selinsgrove School District,
the Administration at all buildings, Trainer Bob,
our fans, and our community for their continued
