"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, magic in it." Goethe
I would like to present a few facts on the origin of the word "collage" and a tutorial on one of the different methods of creating this form of art. There are many ways to accomplish this process but I have chosen here a special Japanese paper and any form of aqua media hoping that some beginner artists and others will discover a different way of having fun doing a watercolor painting.
I shall go through material and technique: instruction on the preparation of the surface that will receive the painting and hints on applying the paint on the paper, leaving to the artist the design and creation of the painting itself. A short personal biography of myself and a bibliography on this subject will follow. Links to some very interesting and instructive "collage" sites will be given.
