Trapped

Light blinds my eyes
Anger slows my blood
Rage fills my head
I lay awake

Surrounded by ignorance
That deceive and taunt
I close my eyes and have to laugh

They know not what they do
For their morals are wrong and unjust
I am in a cage without the key

Reaching for the key
Only to move it further away
Life is meant for living
Forever without dismay

Midnight Followers
****
On the darkest night
As the chillest wind
The shadow arches and spreads its wings
****
The moonlit light
Shines through the night
While the creature takes off in flight
****
Up above the old wood trees
Clouds are coming and will not cease
****
Rain now pouring
Bird still soaring
Looking for a place to hide
****
Seeing a clearing from high above
The crow swoops down to take a look
****
Seeing that there is not a threat
Enters a tree to avoid the wet
****
Now sitting perched upon a branch
Something moving caught his glance
****
Crow swoops down upon the ground
To see what is
That he has found
****
Tis nothing more than some leaves
Rustling amongst a mid-summers breeze
****
This is it and nothing more
Not to know next what is in store
