JavaScripts
The obligatory scripts
My first JavaScript is the Calendar which shows three calendar months and high lights the current day and indicates the date and time.
My second JavaScript is the Calculator which is a basic calculator.
I guess I will leave the other two typical scripts the digital clock and the scrolling ticker until later. Both of these scripts are variants of those presented in the book Teach Yourself JavaScript in aWeek by Arman Danesh (ISBN 1-57521-073-8) which I thought was a good introduction to JavaScript.
These two scripts are HTML type screen savers with links to some of my favorite paintings on the Web. They change about every 20 seconds. If you have a slow internet access connection you might want to lengthen the display time. You also might want to change the image GIF URL's to your favorites. Quite a nice place to leave your browser, flipping through some of the best art on the Web. An intriguing way to use the Web as your personal database. Note that none of the paintings file exist on my website.
Check out my favorite artwork with Landscape Art and Portrait Art. You can also peruse the Portrait Art with an embedded clock and countdown to the Year 2001.
Another, potentially more useful script, is the MW Calculator which does just that.
