David's Java Gallery was the first attempt by David Chan
at creating a website. This website was basic in its use
of HTML, focusing more on content rather than eye candy.
The theme of the site was the programming language Java.
The interface of the website was changed many times, as this was the first time experimenting with site design. However, the end result was quite pleasing.
There were around half a dozen awards won by David's Java
Gallery, but the most prestigious of them was featuring in
the GeoCities A-List on Wednesday, 29 October 1997. This award
attracted over a thousand visitors.
The awards won by this website provided encouragement to develop
better sites.
